Our Story

Berg Drywall was founded in 1967 by Jerry A. Berg. The first shop was located in Deephaven, MN with about 10 employees. The company showed steady growth over the years through the highs and lows of the construction industry. Jerry’s wife, Kathy Berg joined the company in 1988 overseeing the finances. In 1992, Jerry hired Randy Schneewind as a Project Manager.

The drywall industry was new for Randy and there was a lot to learn. He quickly caught on and built up his customer base. Berg started taking on larger projects and the company grew.

Randy was promoted to Vice President of commercial construction in 2002. Jerry, Kathy and Randy continued build the company with a shared vision of customer relationships maintained by a quality job every time. With a relationship based on mutual respect and understanding, Jerry proudly appointed Randy as President in 2006.

Randy purchased the company with two minority partners in 2008 as Jerry and Kathy moved into retirement. New services have been added to allow our customers more choices for a “one-stop” shop for drywall, painting and plastering services. Berg continues to work nationwide expanding on the core values that originally started the company.
